16.11.12-Children in Need

Children in Need Heroes at Killermont Primary

Today, Friday 16th November pupils and staff at Killermont Primary school were raising money for Children in Need 2012 by dressing up as their hero for the day and donating a pound. The heroes ranged from James Bond to SpongeBob to famous golfers.
There were other fundraising activities such as selling Children in need wristbands and a poster of Pudsey was made to put any loose change on. A member of staff also kindly donated two Pudsey cakes for the school to raffle off and a pupil brought in home baking to sell. The pupil raised £20.75. There is also a Guess Pudsey’s and Blush’s birthday competition.

It’s all down to the pupil council who organised the whole day and finished off the fundraising extravaganza by leading the assembly which involved telling Pudsey facts. It also included the results of the Pudsey cake raffle and two pupils in Primary 3 won the cakes.
All in all the whole day was a great success with the school raising an enormous amount of £638.83 with more money expected next week.
We hope the whole school enjoyed themselves.
